FAQ

Are YOur Cards Made in America?

Yes! Overwatch Greeting Cards are made in America! Our team is comprised of American artists, designers, and writers. All printing and envelope manufacturing processes are in the United States.

How Many Cards will you offer?

We are excited to launch our website with an initial offering of six unique cards available to the public. Our creative team is hard at work, with over 140 designs currently in various stages of production, crafted by a diverse group of talented artists. As we continue to expand our collection, new SKUs will be introduced regularly, with the goal of reaching at least 40 SKUs. Once this milestone is achieved, we plan to unveil our first wholesale catalog, providing a broader range of options for our customers.

Why did you select this market?

We identified a significant gap in the market for greeting cards that truly resonate with veterans, active-duty soldiers, and first responders. While some cards are available for specific occasions, there is a lack of a dedicated line that addresses the unique experiences and humor of these communities. Our goal is to create a collection that speaks directly to their experiences, offering cards that reflect their distinct sense of humor and the emotional complexities they face. By doing so, we aim to provide a meaningful way for people to connect with and support these heroes.

WHere did you come up with the name?

Not a vet, just a civilian with deep respect for those who serve. The name Overwatch? Believe it or not, it started during an intermediate distance shooting class. The instructor, whom I had taken a few pistol courses with, joked with me saying that I was good with a long gun, but too old and too out of shape to be kicking doors. He grinned, saying I’d be better off pulling overwatch from a hilltop far, far away from the action. I took the ribbing in stride, but the concept stuck with me. 'Overwatch' is about providing cover and support — and that’s exactly what this greeting card company is designed to do: honor, recognize, and serve those who protect and defend."

What kind of paper do you use?

The majority of our cards are produced using 14pt uncoated paper stock.

Why is your paper uncoated?

While the glossy finish of coated paper is appealing, it is not suitable for writing. A greeting card's essence lies in the ability to personalize it with a message. By opting for uncoated paper, we not only reduce costs but also ensure compatibility with various writing instruments. We are actively exploring partnerships with additional American printing companies that can offer us a one-sided glossy coated paper. This would provide an elegant cover while preserving the ease of writing personalized messages inside, and it keeps manufacturing in the USA!

WHat size are your cards?

The majority of our greeting cards are 5"x7". We may dabble in a few 4"x6" designs, along with Floral cards that are 2"x3'.

WHy do you use Brown kraft groCery Bag style envelopes?

We selected Brown Kraft Grocery Bag style envelopes because they evoke the nostalgic image of parcels and packages being wrapped and tied with string during World War I and II.

Will you offer box sets?

Yes!!! We currently have box sets in development for each artist.

Do you offer a wholesale program?

Yes!!! We provide wholesale opportunities to retail partners with competitive pricing and minimal order requirements.
