Jaime Munt:
The Heart Behind “Folds”
It all started with a simple post on social media. I was searching for artists who could help tell the stories behind Overwatch Greeting Card Company—artists who understood the emotion, the grit, and the gratitude that define service.
Two weeks later, Jaime Munt reached out. She shared a few sketches, and from the moment I saw them, I knew she was different. Her art carried truth—raw, human, and deeply felt. She instantly understood what I was trying to accomplish, and it resonated with her on a personal level.
When Jaime shared her entire portfolio, one drawing in particular stopped me in my tracks: “Folds.”
Folds portrays the solemn ritual of a flag being folded at a military/first responder funeral. A moment of honor that transcends generations. “Folds” represents not only the sacrifice of those who served, but also the timeless emotion shared by every family, every comrade, and every community that has ever stood in silence as the flag was handed over. Folds is a piece that bridges oceans of time and captures what words often cannot.
Designated OGC-001, “Folds” became the flagship card of our entire collection. An image that defines the heart of Overwatch. Jaime’s gift is more than artistic talent; it’s her ability to translate reverence into something you can feel. (Did I mention she is also a published author?)
I owe Jaime a debt of gratitude for her generosity and for sharing her work so close to her heart. Together, we’ll continue to grow and continue to honor those who serve, one card at a time.
